SMART Director, Datuk Ir. (Dr.) Hj. Ahmad Zaidee bin Laidin has been conferred as a Senior Fellowship by Akademik Sains Malaysia (ASM) held in Sime Darby Convention Centre recently. The Academy, established since 1st February 1995 is with functions, among others to promote and foster the development of science, engineering and technology; to provide a forum for the interchange of ideas among scientists, engineers and technologists; to analyze particular national problems and identify where science, engineering and technology can contribute to their solution and accordingly to make recommendations to the Government and many more.
