18 April 2011
The SMART Motorway Control Center received students of Science and Innovation Management (SIM) from Utrecht University on 18 April 2011. The students are studying ways of becoming academicians that can bridge the gap between science and society by linking technological knowledge with the economic needs, conditions and goals of society. They have selected Singapore and Malaysia as destinations in their study tour, and Malaysia was chosen for its highly innovative business culture since Malaysia is one of the strongest economy in Asia with a very good educational system. The group was briefed about the SMART project and Operations by En Mohd Noor Ali, Head of Toll Operations & PR Department. The group was indeed very impressed on how SMART concept has been realized and how it is managed by the SMART team especially in dealing with the demanding challenges of its dual purpose function.
