A group of 19 delegates from the 1st World Congress & Exhibition on Infrastructure Asset Management Delegation visited SMART on 25 February 2011. They were headed by 2 INFRAASSETS secretaries. The delegates consisted of several officials from various companies who are involved in land, infrastructure and transport industries in Japan, and are here in town for the Intelligent Transport System Seminar held in Best Western Premier Sri Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The delegates were briefed about the SMART Concept and Operations by Encik Mohd Fuad Kamal Ariffin, General Manager, and En Mohd Noor Mohd Ali, Head of Department, Toll Operations & Public Relations followed by a Q&A session. They were all impressed with the uniqueness and the importance of the SMART Tunnel in mitigating the flood and traffic congestion problems faced by the City of Kuala Lumpur.
