Delegates from the Board of Engineers Malaysia visited SMART on July 23, 2010. They were headed by YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Ir. Dr. Mohd Zulkifli Mohd Ghazali, Chairman for the National Monitoring Committee Malaysia. The delegates consisted of 30 engineers from ASEAN countries who were on their 1st Networking Session held at Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur. They were briefed on SMART concepts and operations by Encik Mohd Noor Mohd Ali, Toll Operations & PR Manager of SMART and followed by a Q&A session thereafter by Encik Mohd Fuad Kamal Ariffin, SMART General Manager. They were all impressed with the uniqueness and the importance of SMART Tunnel in mitigating the flood and traffic congestion problems faced by the city of Kuala Lumpur.
