The SMART Motorway Control Center (MCC) received a visit from MERCY Malaysia delegates. The delegates were on a 3-day course at The Legend Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. MERCY Malaysia was appointed as one of the Institute under the MTCP programme specializing training in Disaster Response and Recovery along with Community Based Disaster Risk Management. In line with the spirit of South-South Coperation, Malaysia through MTCP shares its development experiences and expertise with other developing countries such as Indonesia, Philippines, Ghana, Vietnam and etc. Through SMART visit, Malaysia will be able to share the development of its disaster responses with the frequent flash flood occurring in Kuala Lumpur as the subject matter. At SMART MCC, the delegates were shown a video presentation on the concept of the SMART project and operations. The delegates spent almost 2 hours at MCC before proceeding to their next destination on their half day visit to SMART.
