SMART was invited by Petrosains Sdn. Bhd. to participate in their public engagement session in conjunction with Bio-Diversity month held at Petrosains, The Discovery Centre, Level 4, KLCC during the school holidays from 12-21 March 2010. SMART's first session was on for 16 March followed by the second session on for 18 March. A slide presentation was prepared for the audience titled “SMART Tunnel: Flood and Traffic Congestion 1 Solution". Those attended were briefed on the SMART project, concept and operations. Samples of rocks that were found during the tunelling process were also brought for the audience to touch and feel. Most of the public commented that the session was a good opportunity for them to know the objectives of SMART and also to fully understand SMART operations. A quiz was also held, at which time the audience had the opportunity to get some of the free gifts from SMART to be brought home as souvenirs.
