A group of 6 officers from GMR Group of Companies visited SMART on 24 November 2009. They were headed by Mr. Param Sivalingam, Chief Executive Officer for EPC Division. Mr. Param was previously attached to SMART during the construction as General Manager for SMART’s project. The group was shown slides taken during construction and a video presentation of SMART operations. Later, the group was briefed about the SMART concept and operations by Mr. Mok Wan Seng, Senior Manager M&E on the operation of the tunnel and they spent almost two hours at SMART Motorway Control Center before making their way home.
