On 9 November at 11.45am SMART received a delegation of 6 Turkish Mayors. They were Mr. Bulent Tanik, Mayor of Cankaya Ankara; Mr. Hamdi Sedefci, Mayor of Edirne; Mr. M. Necip Buyukarslan, Mayor of Adiyaman; Mr. Necati Sezer, Mayor of Buyuk Yoncali; Mr. Ali Osman Erbir, Mayor of Sarikaya; Mr. M. Faruk Pinarbasi, Mayor of Birecik; Mr. Selcuk Yilmaz, Mayor of Kirklareli Vize and also their translator Mr. Saffet Ozdemir, Secretary General of YYD-Tala. The delegation was here for a 3 day visit to Kuala Lumpur. The delegates were shown a video presentation on SMART during construction and Mode 3 operation by Encik Mohd Noor Mohd Ali, Toll Operations & PR Manager and concluded with a Q&A session thereafter. They also shared their recent experience facing with a major flood in Ankara where 38 lives were lost due to the disaster during the session.
