The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) Malaysian Branch successfully organized a visit to SMART Tunnel on 28 October at 9.00am. The visit had attracted 15 people from Hong Kong based members and also local engineers. The group was headed by Mr. Yip Foo Weng, Chairman of IOM3 (Malaysian Branch) with the objective of gaining information and exposure on SMART Tunnel construction, maintenance and operations from the visit. They were briefed on SMART concepts and operations by Encik Mohd Noor Mohd Ali, Toll Operations & PR Manager and concluded with a Q&A session thereafter by Mr. Mok Wan Seng, M&E Senior Manager. In return, IOM3 agreed to promote SMART Tunnel through their website as well as in their specialized magazine, Materials World.
